My first visit was excellent. The staff seem to apply an extra effort in assisting any and everyone. The library building itself is spacious and has a modern decor. Most important the environment has a calming, peaceful vibe necessary for learning.
It was very pleasing to see how the City of Virginia Beach has placed alot of value on secondary education in the expansion of this library. Being a long time student of TCC, I have seen an amazing, major improvement and beautifcation of the campus and the surrounding community.
It's close enough to walk to which I love and they have a great selection for adult, teens, and children. Love going here to check out books mainly for my daughter and for her to play. Staff is always nice.
Hours not conducive for working people... I worry about the air quality, second floor has a strong mildew smell.... great facility though, never seen anything like it.
I'll go here but only for the books. Will never borrow CDs or movies from the library again!
Cool relaxing place to lounge while getting done what needs to be done. The staff is pretty good at making sure that vibe continues. They're quite nice and helpful with whatever the library need be. My family and I love it here, maybe since the vibe in our household isn't all that different. This is where we go for personal, work, and school related needs.
I'm giving it three stars mainly because they do not care about their videos as 5-7 times we borrowed movies they are all in playable. Completely and visibly scratched or ruined. They need to have someone check on their movies, and that goes for CDs too, so that they are playable. I also contacted them about this issue and never received a responses proving to me that they don't care when they should.
A quiet place. Good for studying. I would recommend booking a study room presentation project
