Went to get a warrant for a woman who had stolen money from me. I had done the work of finding the account number she put the money in, both names she used, and her address. "Detective" Holloman, did not once take the information I had. Instead he called the woman who said she'd give it to me Monday when the money had been in her account for weeks. He didn't make copies for anything. Never asked for the text where she said she wasn't giving it back. I mean nothing. So until I get a detective that wants to do his/her job this bearly two stars is what VBPD will receive.
I had a close friend die from a drug overdose. Being the roommate and most contacted person on their cellphone wasn't relevant enough to be questioned. There is a lot of lipservice and tax dollars being paid by public officials and politicians to supposedly 'cure' the drug epidemic. I, personally, can verify your tax dollars are being wasted on this farce claim. It is all talk, and no action.
I did have better luck with someone higher up but that was only to file a complaint against the so-called detective.

Purposely took 7 hours to release someone from holding who had no prior record. They had already signed the paperwork approving the inmate to be picked up and still wouldn't release him. There's no way Va Beach PD had 8 hours work of paperwork for each person locked up. Its unacceptable how slow the process it, tax dollars being waisted.
I didn't have any personal interaction with VBPD but have been to the city twice and spent lots of time around the Ocean Front. I didn't get raped, shot, stabbed, or mugged. I also didn't get any tickets for cursing in the "No Cursing" areas....Thanks VBPD
