I was treated BADLY by a financial aid rep who interrogated me with nastiness... I was to meet Alex Raye after this incident, but her incident made me want to leave the building and take a $45 loss!!!!!!
I'm very pleased with my curriculum, and the instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful! It is a demanding term each time because courses are every 5 weeks nonstop, but you're guaranteed a BS in 2.5 years or an AS in 1.5! I'm VA benefit recipient and I can't complain; all benefits have been processed and approved on time. They're pretty awesome.
I love ECPI. The campus and courses are straight to the point. If you want a no frills education that doesn't waste your time, inquire about their programs. Be aware, this is a fast paced, do it yourself environment! If you need or want your hand held and to be treated like you're fresh out of high school, this place is not for you. As for dealing with VA benefits, they are still the VA. Nobody interacts with them without any issues. My financial advisor has done a phenomenal job of processing all my claims and I have never waited on any payments from the VA. But again, when there's an issue, you need to be involved and asking questions. It's YOUR benefits and YOUR education.
Terrible school for people who have never been in the field, do not waste your GI Bill there. Teachers are not to helpful, especially in IT, other classes like English, Math, etc. are pretty good your teachers are there and are always helpful. This school is not meant for military personnel it seems as if some teachers think you are not paying you are just getting a free ride. They tend to have negative things to say about military constantly.
Overall a great experience until I was in my last term. I would like to think the "thanks now get out" feeling wasn't intentional. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was denied any awards due to an inability to make it to the VA ceremony for them to showcase it. Great instructors and staff, just bad practices in some aspects. For a university that has a M.B.A. program, you would think they would understand the value of the after-sale relationship.
