The food is always great, and the staff is even better. The atmosphere and fellow patrons are really cool as well! On Wednesday nights they have Karaoke!
After searching all day for a venue to celebrate my son's Babtism, I decided to try Finn McCools. I went in with my wife and kids, and asked to see if they had a separate room for large more private celebrations. I was greeted by the Manager, Mr. Earl Alexander Carr. He showed me a covered patio area with a bar, which proved to be perfect for myself and my 30 guests. We made a reservation two weeks in advance. He promises us that we would have the room, and commented on the speaker system, privacy, and Bar! We were excited and looked forward to celebrating such a special, once in a lifetime event. Unfortunately, the day of the event, without notice, Alex (How the manager prefers to be called) seated another party in the area we had agreed upon, and instead seated our party ( which included about 8 children of varying ages, at the bar area. When we inquired why the change, he blamed us saying that he never agreed to the original seating area, because " If he had, he would have put it on his planner." When we told him that regardless of what he chose to write down it was poor management on his part, he smuggly replied "Then I guess I'm a poor manager!" . He then basically called me and my wife liars, because he said he never told us about the room. When he not only promised the room, but showed us the room in detail. Our entire party was upset. My wife was heart broken, because our little guy's special day was ruined. I was angry. We ended up going to Jose Tequila's, which quickly accommodated our entire party and treated us like family. My problem is not that a mistake wa made. My problem wa that the Manager "Alex", was smug, disrespectful, and cared nothing about how we felt, and the closest thing to an apology we got from him was " I may have made a mistake"! This guy could have turned a bad experience into a great one, had he known how to treat customers and understood how to run a restaurant. Finn McCools lost a lot more than 30 customers that day.
Great food! Great prices! Fast courteous service!
Had the fish and chips tonight. They offer a full or half order. I should have ordered the half. The portion was too large to finish in one sitting. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food on the plate. Great food and service. They also offer specials on weeknights and discounts for military and first responders on Sundays. Will be back again to try the extensive list of fish entrees.
Atmosphere festive. Food was good. The disappointment was the crab soup. It taste delicious however there was so little crab in the soup itself. It should be renamed crab bisque as to not confuse patrons about what there are ordering.
