I've had a dozen or more servers. All have been welcoming and attentive, even when one is manning the entire floor with ten tables to wait. That tells me the good attitude comes from the owner down.
Been coming to Rick's since 1997.. that should say everything.. Rick is a great guy who donated to CHKD and cares about his customers. More like visiting family than going to restaurant. It's that damn good... And the food is worth every penny.. I highly recommend the pulled pork and the catfish...
Rick's Cafe quickly became my favorite Cafe when I moved to Virginia two years ago. The breakfast is reasonable food, but I come back for the bacon cheeseburger and country fried steak from the menu.
Steven is one of the BEST waiters I have ever had. He is super fun and energetic and you can tell he loves his job which is even better when it's backed by the amazing food they sell. They serve breakfast ALL DAY and are open 24/7! The location is super convenient. They have great vegitarian options as well as bomb sweet potato fries.
Food tasted really good. The only thing that threw me off was that I order French Toast and i received 3 half slices. Usually I expect them in pairs but it was still delicious. Will surely be back for more.

This place is one of my favorite local "all day breakfast food" places, but they aren't just that. They serve amazing comfort and southern lunch and dinner food as well, it's just that the breakfast food is just so good that I rarely get the chance to order anything else! Great prices and a really good lunch menu if you are out and about for lunch.
