The whale tour was a great experience as we got to see 5 whales and many dolphins on our trip. The only unfortunate thing is when the boat approaches a whale they don't exactly turn the boat for everyone to see. We were sitting on the top deck in the back, it was a perfect spot for our big family to be together. As we approached a whale everyone got excited and ran to the edges but only the front of the boat could actually see the whale. I will admit there were times that when the boat hung out in the same area for a bit, us in the back finally got to see the whales as the boat turned. Well it turns out the commentator was taking professional photos of the whales to sell downstairs (and she was in the front hence why the boat barely ever turned for everyone to see)...which is great for people that are interested in buying them...but when you're paying almost $30 per person and have your own professional camera you'd rather just get a better experience and good viewing.

I can easily say that sailing with Rudee Flipper was the highlight of our trip. To see my girlfriend brought to tears of joy seeing her favorite animal in it's environment, is something I'll never forget. The crew are some of the friendliest and hard working people I've ever met. This is an activity worth so much more then what your paying.

The VA aquarium boat was out there with us and they seemed to continuously turn their boat so everyone could see. Otherwise, it was a great experience. It was a perfect day out and I'm grateful that we were able to see as many whales as we did.

I took my kids to see the dolphins. The experience was great. They loved it. We will go again. Just make sure you bring a jacket in case you get cold easy. it is windy. We are looking forward to go again.

Loved the Rudee Rocket. If you're in VA Beach you must enjoy this attraction. There is a quick trip up the coast to the First Landing State Park shoreline where the dolphins are. The captain then goes somewhat fast to make a wake the dolphins surf. On the trip back to the dock, he rockets the engine and you go really fast. He turns the boat side to side trying to get you wet. FUN!!!

My husband and I went with two of our kids on the dolphin tour, we had so much fun. You want to sit outside and either side is good. The ride seemed to last pretty long and we saw a lot of dolphins in the water. They do have drinks and snacks you can purchase, so it's ok on a really hot day too. It was fun and our daughter loved it.
