Best kept secret for camping on vacation beach. Wonderful camping close to the beach on a naval military base. You need did id to enter.
Reservation process was seamless and I was glad to be assigned a site with shade. All of the sites appeared level and had ample room for equipment. The campground was quiet and staff and campers were respectful. This small base has a gym, fast good, mini Mart, club with a theater, post office, gas station, bowling alley and a liquor store, all within walking distance. The Oceana commissary is less than 4 miles away. The surrounding area has good sidewalks for bike riding, but a helmet is required on base. Overall, a very good experience.
I have been coming here for over 10 years. I do love it. There are a few things that need to be updated but it is a great place.
Liked this campground because of it price and it's right next to the beach.
Some of the guests have been there forever and are quite snooty. The place is overrun by full-timers.
