I moved to the Virginia Beach area over one year ago from Northern Virginia. The closest market to me was the Food Lion on Holland Rd. I went to pickup some groceries for my family and was treated like family by EVERYONE in the store. The way that everyone treated me, makes me feel like they genuinely appreciate me not only as a customer, but like an old friend. Mrs. Edna Mustin advised to sign up for the MVP card one day while with my family, and now when I see her, she always asks two question. 1. If I found everything ok, and 2. How are my family and I doing. Mrs. Edna is always straightening up around the store, looking to see where she can be of assistance, and/or helping someone in need. Thank you Food Lion staff, and Especially Mrs. Mustin for welcoming my family, into yours.
It's easy to get to and they have tons of parking.

I have been shopping a this particular Food Lion for 15 years. The staff is like family. Very friendly and personable. Store is clean and I always find what I need. Food Lion always has wonderful sales and the MVP sales are truly great. Food Lion brand products are terrific and cost saving. Wal-Mart is across the street and they cannot compete with my Food Lion.

The prices and everything is fine...my issue is their floor sales vs back room conversations. It was only my 2nd time in the store when a manager I presume, with the dictation she used had went barreling towards the deli associate about how she took heat for something. I get it, if there was miscommunication what not, but 1. Calm down and discuss it when the associate isn't on the floor. 2. Being a bystander, I even heard some biased and accusatory assumptions that didn't have hard proof. Based on tone and word usage. 3. Raising your voice on the sales floor, again, with or without customers in area is just not professional....or appropriate for a manager position. Honestly, haven't been back but once since then it has left quite an impression. Felt kind of bad for the associate being put on spot and having to defend herself in such a public sense at work.
Came here to pick up supplies for the beach trip and they had great deals and were well organized!
We aren't from around here and didn't have a club card, but they used one for us and saved us a bunch of money!
