Then we had to wait 2 hours to be taken back, having people that arrived an hour after us be seen before us, while my husband was bleeding through yet another set of bandages and gauze. When we were taken back they told us that there was nothing they could do but clean the wound and dress it again as well as give him a tetanus shot. Seriously? It ended up being a 3 hour visit for them to tell us they can't do anything because it's a chunk of skin taken off instead of a clean cut?

I'll have to say, if I ever have to go to a hospital, I would definitely pick Princess Anne Sentara, they were so kind to my mom, especially the night staff, they even treated me as if I were a patient there while I spent the night with her, always asking me if I needed water or anything, they were so sweet and funny, overall, I almost felt related to these amazing people by the time I left! I will definitely be sure to figure out a way to thank them around this time of the year for the holiday season!

My wife delivered our child here recently, and we had the best experience in their Labor and Delivery. The doctors and RN's were amazing. Jen, our delivery RN was outstanding and we couldn't have made it through without her. There aren't enough words to describe her efforts! She was a true champion for my wife and walked her through every step. The hours they put in and care is amazing.

And many thanks!!

If you are going to get labword done then this place is awesome! But if you are going to the ER I would avoid this place like the plague. My grandmother (nose bleed for hours on end) and father (awful case of Vertigo) landed in the ER room here within a week of each other and I was there for both visits. The worst bedside service I've eve experienced! They were rude and irritable when asked for help or explanation or ANYTHING. When my grandmother had her nose bleed the doctor and the nurse kept leaving dirty bloody tissues on her chest when they werw finishrd instead of throwing them away. (This doctor was short, very tan, and the nurse was a very tall blonde woman with glasses and a very bizarre, inappropriate, borderline disrespectful, sense of humor). But the most unfortunate experience of all was my father's visit. He could not walk without convulsing and vomiting because of the Vertigo...but they insisted on making him use the restroom standing up instead of giving him the plastic portable urinal even though we asked for it. They also made him wait for over 20 mins to get a wheelchair to get him to the rest room and then hoist him up to use it. Be kept asking for the restroom over and over squeezing his legs together while waiting. Ridiculous and awful bedside manners! And to top things off.....after the rest room (while he's still drugged, partway unconscious, and cannot walk/move without us shoving and dragging him the nurse (who had just been recently promoted to management or something -short, Caucasian, brunette) left the IV in my father's arm! I noticed when I was trying to get him into the car and he moaned when I touched the needle that was still inside of his skin. I told the nurse and she looked panicked and told us to wait at the curb as she went inside to get gloves and a cotton ball and then removed the needle OUTSIDE!!!!! A week later my father's arm was in alot of pain, bruised, and swollen to the point he had to return to the doctors again to have it checked out. I will avoid this ER at ALL COSTS and make sure to tell every friend, family, and tourist customer I get to avoid this ER at all costs if you have an emergency. The nurses gossip very heavily and loudly during their shift which is fine as long as mishaps like this aren't happening! The entire Experience both times were awful. Sentara ER Princess Anne does not care about saving/improving lives.......It's clearly just a job they clock into and that's it.

The only reason I'm not giving this just a one star review is because the PA that saw us was so very nice. Everyone else acted like we were bothering them with our presence. I understand they were busy but in this field people are sick or hurt and need that warmth from the people taking care of them. Being rude makes what is already a bad situation even worse.

My husband and I made a trip to the Emergency Room last night because he had cut his foot on some glass and it was bleeding profusely. When we arrived they had to re-dress his foot at registration because he had bled through the bandaging we had already put on his foot. We then discovered that he had bled on the floor walking in. Instead of cleaning it up quietly, one of the staff felt it appropriate to yell "Does someone here have a cut foot or something?" in front of a room full of patients. When we acknowledged that it was my husband (because we thought she was going to take us back) she shot us a dirty look and then told someone to mop it up. Completely unprofessional.

OBGYN for our pregnancy.

We definitely won't be returning for emergency services.

We moved over to post delivery and every RN, and staff member showed great attention to us and answered all of our questions. They were informative, caring and attentive. We are so glad we chose this hospital and Virginia Beach

My wife had been in pain for a very long time .We went to the ER and she was seen within minutes. Everyone there is awesome! She was admitted and had to stay for around 5 days .All the staff was great ,the rooms are huge, very clean. They made her stay there tolerable. Finally after many tests and procedures she is home and getting Better.

God bless everyone there
