The bottom line, these workers can do and say anything, because who will believe a crazy person over a golden boy? Nobody that's who.

I will never call for help again under any circumstances. I was violated completely while in their "care" because I'm a problem child in their eyes and there are no safeguards to prevent that from happening.

I don't know where to start. Worst moments of my life involve this place. The third floor being terrible is a LIE. It's like paradise compared to CER. Actually the third floor is kind of a well kept secret. CER is garbage. I do not mean the patients.

My question: Is there any such thing as a human rights violation to Wendy? I seriously doubt it. The same low life staff never leave and I'm sure are never even reprimanded for anything.

Then when we are free we have to begin a journey to recover from even more life traumas inflicted by this hell on earth operation... or not.

This facility is a prime example of what is wrong with the mental health system and why people become lost, homeless and lost forever in our own tortured minds. It is THE reason some of us become broken beyond repair.

When you enter "voluntarily" you will be surprised at what the reality of that is vs. what you think it is. You might as well be TDO, because honestly you get out much more quickly that way.

Dr. Light is a low life bully. He offered me tough love minus the love. I am afraid to ever return after enduring what I did while I was there the last time. The most petty, small-minded, sadistic a holes work here. I am referring to the "doctors" especially with this statement. I think they look for those traits when hiring people. They certainly foster those behaviors within the staff. Even the lunch room workers are miserable acting. I came up short finding any human decency within this place on any of my visits.

This place is not for the faint of heart.

The only positive that came out of this place is that it made me kick start my self care and make sure I never have to enter this facility again. Most of the nurses are not trained well enough to be tending to patients, there are one or two good ones out of the bunch. The saviors of this place are the recreational therapists, most are enthusiastic and listen to the requests of the patients for what they'd like to do. The building is falling apart and very outdated. The psychiatrists aren't the worst, but they also don't listen to your input when it comes to the medicines you are on. This facility is another example of how abandoned the mental health system is and has done nothing, but fuel my fire to work to change it.

When some of us are there horrible things can and do happen. We have to carefully act out that we are "recovering" while we are there and comply and say the correct catch phrases in a convincing enough manner to get out. They know we aren't better and they could not care less.

Breaking down struggling minds beyond the point of no return. Never to trust providers again. Way to go scumbags.

I was admitted to the CER. The staff and nurses were all very helpful. I need a special diet and everyone was very helpful with that. It's an effective place to get some help.

My takeaway, be successful on future suicide attempts. At any cost. I'm scared sh!tless to ever return. Not scared to die, but afraid of their "help." I literally will die first before returning here. That's a guarantee, not a knee jerk reaction to what went down. I have WORSE nightmares every single night and severe flashbacks during the day about my experiences there. I won't recover from this, they have broken me.

You know you're in h-e-double hockey sticks when the golden boy, Tito on CER who is adored and cherished blocks you from using the bathroom in an emergency situation and the official response is that your human rights were not violated. Noted.

"My question: Is there any such thing as a human rights violation to Wendy? I seriously doubt it. The same low life staff never leave and I'm sure are never even reprimanded for anything.

So you know this place is pretty incredible, as in what is accepted here in terms of continuous human rights violations waved on, and even encouraged ad infinitum"

They freely raped my insurance for almost two weeks. I'm surprised they didn't reach even deeper into their pockets and keep me even longer. The system there is blatantly shamelessly money-grabbing and finely tuned to do this with impunity.

I enjoyed this review from a patient who my heart goes out to. My stepson is currently in there; he has threatened to kill my wife. No one does anything but let us become terrorized. The worst part is his life...He is Manic....He is Manic....They give him the RIGHT to be Manic. My Manic stepson has posted multiple poor reviews on My 2 local businesses. He has contacted our clients. He has broken into both of our homes. The POLICE LET HIM!!!!!! As far as Va Beach Psych? Well! They will not let anyone know when he is getting released....he has no where to go; I ASK THE SAME QUESTION I QUOTE FROM THE USER IN QUOTATION MARKS....

Signed a frequent flyer who has NEVER been helped in my many stays, voluntarily or not.
