We went on the dolphin sunset kayak tour, the guides, Andrea and Brock were very respectful and helpful and got us into the water safely. Once we were on the water, we kayaked about twenty minutes through the bay once we saw dolphins. You may not see dolphins every time you kayak, you can't control the dolphins choice to show themselves! Luckily, August is a great breeding month for the dolphins in the Bay Area, we were able to see dozens of them. On the way back to shore, the waves started getting a bit choppy (they were pretty choppy to begin with due to a storm the previous day, but it was safe enough to kayak on) a boat flew by and formed some white caps, the kayak I was on with my girlfriend flipped over along with another couples kayak. Fortunately the water was shallow enough where we were able to stand, and the tour guides responded quickly to make sure everyone was okay. As I said before, you cannot control nature, and you take the chance every time you go on the water. It added a little bit of excitement to the kayak tour! I was very pleased with the tour guides and they did a very good job keeping everyone together and informing us about the Bay Area. I definitely recommend the kayak tours to Chesepean outdoors. Thank you Andrea and Brock!

My husband and I took the sunset dolphin tour with Logan and Eli. While we had no problem with the fact that we didn't see any dolphins (they are wild animals that you can predict - totally understandable) we had quite a few issues with the "tour". First of all, when you call something a tour it's implied that you're going to give me some sort of information. This did not happen. The guides got us in the water and we started paddling. There was no information regarding where we were going, any particular areas we should be paying attention to for sightings, and there were no fun facts/information! If it had been called a trip, I wouldn't have had those expectations. In addition, if you're going to require that all of your guests wear their life jackets, then you should probably lead by example. From a safety standpoint, the fact that Eli never put on his life jacket made me really angry. Mine is uncomfortable, if you don't have to wear one, why should I? It was also never mentioned to us that we would be in double kayaks. My husband and I did the tour to celebrate our anniversary and it was really disappointing that we couldn't hear each other the whole time we paddled. Had we had two individual kayaks, we probably could have spoken to one another far more easily.

Overall, we way over paid for the product that we received. This is a $30-$35 tour that is billed at $60 plus the $9 to get into the park. It's an absolute rip off. I've worked in tourism for the last five years and believe in giving your guest a quality product. Hopefully this "tour" can get some upgrades for next season.

We come to va beach every year, and this has quickly become a favorite tradition. The guides are always awesome and friendly. I recommend kayaking with dolphins to all!

Pretty disappointed with the lack of communication from this company. The day (July 29, 2017 ) I bought my Groupon for 3 people for a 2 hr dolphin/ sunset kayaking tour for today , August 26. @ 5:30, I called and left my information on their answering service. I NEVER received a response from them. Not a thank you for booking, looking forward to your tour, not a word. I tried to call several more times throughout the month, as some companies want you to contact to confirm with them for scheduling purposes. Nope, not a word UNTIL TODAY! 3 hrs before our arrival time, I received an email FROM GROUPON, stating my tour was cancelled and my card has been refunded! I immediately called and of course as usual No one answered! I waited a few minutes and called back, same result as earlier, no one answered. A few minutes later what do you know... they called me, stating 1. They had zero contact for me ( remember , I called back in July and left all my information on their answering machine) 2. Tour was cancelled due to high wind conditions and that they wouldn't be going back out for at least 4-5 days but in the same breath offered up a kayaking sight seeing tour going out tomorrow afternoon. Hmmmm, what happened to the 4-5 days??? I'm pretty confident in saying my family of 3 wasn't enough for them to go ahead with the tour and I'm not buying the weather conditions for the cancellation, especially since one was offered up for the next day after saying they wouldn't be operating for the next 4-5 days. You guys should try either answering your phone or at least get the information off the machine so people have time to make other plans for their day after you guys pull stunts like this. Blaming the delay of contacting me on Groupon was inexcusable, you had my information for almost a month! I will NEVER use this company again.
