Staff was wonderful. They worked with me through my Per Diem issues, they accommodated when issues came up with the room. Just great customer service. The rooms are slightly outdated and you cannot change or have control over the heat and a/c but again staff helped out by giving me fans and even a dehumidifier to help me out.
One if the nicer rooms I have been too. Spacious and large. Clean everywhere will be back.
Where to start... awful experience. When my wife and I checked in there was no power all day; no air, no lights, no elevator. This should have been an excellent indicator of what was to come. On two occasions during our 3 month stay, there was no hot water for days at a time. These hotels are mostly used for individuals attending training on Dam Neck so it should be considered that these individuals are staying for long periods of time. However, there are no kitchenettes and no where to prepare food except for a microwave; very unhealthy way to live for months at a time. The elevator almost never worked, I may have seen it used twice during my stay. The entire building is infested with bugs of all kinds from ants to car key sized cockroaches. The wifi is awful and useless for anything other than sending text messages on your iphone. The walls and floors are the furthest thing from sound proof and you will hear everything your neighbors say and do. Now, all of these things considered could be bearable if there was a customer service staff that even remotely cared about being at work. The desk even has a sign saying that the desk staff had stepped away and would be back shortly. Needless to say, I saw way more of this sign than I ever did of anyone resembling a hotel service staff member. If you have a complaint or a request or a question, it is likely that no one will be at the desk to help you unless it is during a time that they know someone is coming to check-in. Worst experience of my life and we were lucky that the training took up most of the day so we did not have to spend much time in the building. Really awful. I hope the renovations that they are raising the nightly rate for are worth it, I will never stay here again. I attempted to contact the office to sort out some payment misunderstandings that occurred but received little help. I asked to speak with the manager but the staff member at the desk said they do not give out the number for the manager and she transferred me... alright that's fine. The phone rings and rings and rings, no answer... and what a surprise no voicemail. "no one is available to take your call, goodbye".
Steer clear! A/C didn't work in the dog friendly room, cockroach in the room, so many holes in the curtains it looked like the stars at night. Rude front desk employees and manager who wanted us checked out by 11:00 even though our A/C was broken and the reason we had to leave. The hotels downtown we had to move to didn't let us check in till 4. We fought to stay till 1:00 because where were we supposed to go with the dogs, and they had the maid check to see if we were out at noon, and the front desk called again at 12:30. I guess they needed us out so they could give the room to someone else with the broken A/C? The maids and maintenance man were sweet but this place is a dump. I gave it one star because of the location. Ocean was a short walk across a sand dune.
Good customer service. Updated to ocean view room for free. Wonderful beach view and easy access to the ocean front.
