We attended a khaki ball here last night. The hotel was beautiful and a wonderful venue for the event. The staff was very friendly. It's located near several awesome resteraunts and the mall is right around the corner along with lots of other shopping. It's pretty close to little Creek base. Also, they have free parking!!!!
First off, the staff was very friendly. The location of the is great, with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Unfortunately, the rooms are aready starting to feel old. For example, the carpet was seriously worn and felt slick in places. Also, the room service food was not very good either. Generally, I love Westin hotels, but this one needs some work.
Stayed here for a work meeting. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Bar service quick. Room was lovely, wanted to take the bed and shower head home. Upgraded free of charge to a Weston Workout room, so had a treadmill, exercise bike, and numerous other exercise equipment in the room. Very quiet - rooms well soundproofed.
The location of this hotel was great, walking distance from lots of restaurants, bars, shopping locations and about 15 minutes from the beach. Lobby is beautiful, parking is free and staff is super friendly. We didn't get into town until after 3:00 a/m after a 6 hour drive, so coming in to a friendly face was great. I will say, though, for the price, the room itself is a little underwhelming. Aside from the comfy duvet, it's just your typical hotel room. We also were awoken much earlier than we would have liked because the curtains would not completely close not matter what we did and let the sunlight in directly on our faces at sunrise. In-room breakfast was also a bit disappointing for the price we paid, though the woman that brought it to us was exceptionally friendly. For so early in the morning, that was much appreciated. (Yes, I know that you're technically paying for someone to bring it to you, but $60 later, we were still hungry.) Overall, enjoyed our stay.
Great hotel in the heart of downtown Virginia Beach. Convenient walking distance to Pembroke mall. This hotel has a few slightly dated aspects to it, but it is clean, comfortable, and convenient. Free parking, small pool, and decent fitness center.
