We flew in late and arrived at 3 AM. We had previously coordinated the late arrival and requested an extra fold out bed to go along with the king and sofa bed already in the room. Fold out bed was in the room, but there were no sheets for either the fold out or the sofa bed. Had to go down to the desk to get the sheets. Only sheets were available, no blankets. Sofa bed was broken and spent several minutes working with the mechanism to get it to work. Not how I wanted to spend time after spending the day traveling. Next morning, breakfast was crowded, huge line for the one waffle maker. Staff was quick to replenish items when alerted, but due to large crowds the one kitchen staff had a hard time keeping up with the food demand. Later asked a staff member if it was always that busy, and she said it was the usual crowd for weekends. The staff that was there was quick to help when issues we're identified, but management needs to do a better job staffing and keeping up with maintenance issues.
Pros: The hotel was great my room got upgraded to the presidential suite for free. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good and had variety. Cons:The security was lacking I feel, If no one was in the room to lock the deadbolt you can break into any room with a credit card, but if you were in the room it had both a deadbolt and door catch that you could use.
Every time me and my family stay at Wingate by Wyndham it has been a really pleasant experience. Nice clean rooms, oh and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. My husband always says he gets a restful sleep in them. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Stayed here for one night the room was clean and so were the common areas of the hotel. I thought the hotel was really nice for two people and loved that there was a microwave and fridge in our room since heavy rainfall kept us indoors. I would stay here again. Upon arriving, however, we were told by an employee, Tee, as it said on her name tag, that she canceled our reservation. When asked why she said it was because the card was declined for insufficient funds. Not a big deal, however after saying this to us she said nothing else. Nothing about what could be arranged or anything of the sort. We received confirmation that everything went through, so when asked why weren't we at least given a call she said because we went through a third party it wasn't their responsibility to call. I asked her so you guys made certain to run the card but it's not your responsibility to notify us if there was any issue. She said no. She said no offense but when you do these things you have to make sure that you have the money to cover it. I told her that actually was offensive to say to someone that wouldn't choose their location to waste their time and she began cutting me off and turned around to another person to talk about me. So I asked her if she could tell me if they had anything available and to let me know the cost. She says to me let me know when you're ready. I said to her, let you know what? You haven't told me anything. She finally did answer my question which it seemed she clearly had a problem or difficulty doing. We had only needed it for one night and it was late when we checked in so we paid and went on our way. Having experience in customer service, even if they don't contact people that pay through a third party, I expected when told that our reservations were canceled that here are some other arrangements that could be made. She said none of those things until I gave her a problem. She looked at us as if we should've just walked out. Completely unprofessional! but it takes a lot more than that to ruffle my feathers.
Very clean rooms along with a very friendly and attentive staff. Continental breakfast was fresh and very enjoyable. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely stay again.
