Amazing hospitality from the minute we arrived till we left. I travel with my family and my father needs a little extra assistance and the staff jumped to help. Thank you. Just so happens during our stay was a Latin Dance Festival going on in one of the conference venues. I figured I was going to walk for a mile to find parking. Nope plenty of great covered parking, with easy access to the elevator. I am looking forward to going back during the summer and enjoy the Beach.
On site restaurant was really good and the conference rooms were great, however the layout of the buildings were really confusing. It took my husband and I way too long to figure out where our room was even with directions. Additionally, the rooms (we stayed in a non-oceanfront suite) were old, and there were so many bugs flying on the ceiling. The salty air usually does a number on beachfront hotels, but it seemed like the rooms needed an upgrade.
OMG where do I begin! ❤❤❤ My boyfriend and I came for a 4 day weekend getaway! The room was great, it was big and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable would love to stay longer, slept a lot this weekend. There was a private beach not very busy, no hustle and bustle. It was exactly what we were looking for. The maid service was awesome, staff very friendly, and restaurant has a great breakfast buffet. We will be using this hotel every time we come to Virginia beach from now on. We have been to a few of the high end hotels before and this is by far our favorite. Well worth our money.
The bed in our room was also really strange, like a queen mattress was sitting on a full boxspring. However we did use the double bath to make the most of out time there.
Had a nice stay at the Wyndham. Location is a bit north of all the action, but less noise is great with me. Room was clean. We stayed in a suite with kitchenette and it would have been nice if there were a few dishes or glasses in the cabinets but we made do. The room had two balconies with a partial ocean view.
There was a mix up with our room. We thought we booked a king bed and ended up with a double queen. We made it work. The room was clean,balcony kind of small though. The walk from the hotel to the ocean was kind of long especially when you have cooler chairs and umbrella. They are pet friendly. The blue Angels were in town that weekend my husband has never seen them before so we really enjoyed that.
