I told her, via e mail, that i would give her a good review because my sister didnt mind it until i went into work tonight and had people laugh because it is such a "gordy flower arrangement." I was told, your sister would be upset if she seen what it really was to look like, but she thinks you ordered this funeral flowers for a birthday. My disippointment turned into anger of how i was duked. Flower shop, flowers were to be colorful not dark. No baby breath in photo and no ugly green leaves being the main focal point; to many. The photo was so stunning what was actually received was ugly, gordy, dark flowers, not many flowers for deluxe package, funeral looking and nothing like the photo as promised. Honestly, they should do another one as the photo as i ordered. False advertisement and extremely misleading. If you are looking for a flower shop to send beautiful flowers to a friend or love one i strongly suggest you dont stop at great Neck Florist and gifts for purchase, but to keep on looking. So horrible. I gave it one star because they didnt have a 0 star and that i would of giving them. If i could post the pic on web cite and what my sister actually recieved then you would see not to buy here. The whole arrangement was hideous.
I placed my order almost 2 weeks before the delivery date. Spent $75 and it was a local delivery. Well the order NEVER arrived. I'll be seeing them very soon, not sure when because 3 different websites have 3 different sets of hours for them. But they WILL be giving my my money back.
Little is perfect in our lives, but my wife is a wonderful woman deserving of all care. I was mortified to learn that the arrangement delivered to my wife as part of our 8th anniversary hadn't been delivered in anything similar to the contemporary clear glass vase pictured; it was delivered in a silvered plastic _urn_ of the sort used for funeral displays. I don’t know if the florist was desperate or joking but I’m insulted by this inappropriate choice. I would expect far more care. In the future, I’ll be more careful in identifying fluffed shop reviews before purchasing for important occasions. What else could go wrong? Would you put a funeral display in a Mickey-Mouse themed vase? I don’t want to find out.
Before you provide the obligatory “We’re sorry to hear you were displeased...” response, you need to know that dates like anniversaries don’t get do-overs. Just save it, please.
Listen to the bad reviews they are truth. Their positive reviews had to be written by family, friends and /or worker. They lie and deceive. I wish i read the reviews fully b4 ordering then i would of passed over this shop. The reviews were correct they are horrible and not worth your money. I am so upset on how ugly and cheap looking the arrangement was. Not even close to the photo on their web cite. So grossly mislead. Keep looking dont stop her. Flower shop, take pride in your work and skills and do a better job. Lying to people out of their money and being falsely mislead and giving false excitement is so wrong for you to do. Really wrong.
All the 5 star reviews are total fluff.

I ordered flowers from the Great Neck Florist & gifts in Va Beach, Va for my sister's birthday and was so highly disippointed. The arrangement in their photo was vibrant in color and the color scheme was put together so well that i had ordered the deluxe at 80.00 dollars. I was so excited. When my sister received the flowers and had taking a pic to show me because i live in NY i was so dissippointed on what they put together for her. I was actually so embarrassed. The arrangement did not look like the photo on their web cite. The flowers were ugly and dark, more for a funeral. The glass in their photo had the apperance of being filled with wine my sister's glass was an empty and cheap glass. The straw that they provided in the arrangement was a crazy straw not the 2 straws that their photo showed. For 80 dollars there were very little flowers, but mostly green ugly leaf like flowers were shoved in and had taking up all the room, which gave little room for deluxe package of flowers. Shoved in the glass was this foam green square thing where flowers were stuck into which added to the ugly arrangement. I will never order from this shop again. The most upseting part of all of this is i had spoken to someone over the phone (perhaps owner of flower shop) and told her about my past experiences in ordering on line. She assured me that the arrangement will look beautiful and will look like the pic. She "priors herself on customer satisfaction because its her license that would be on the line." I Was a customer and i am definitly not a happy and satisfied customer. I will not return. The whole arrangenent was poorly put together and looked like a 20 dollar arrangement and not 80.00 (During our conversation she even brought up the arrangement to view it and assured me it would look like the photo). It was even worse then last year's arrangement from a diffrent shop. I am believing that there are no good and trusting flower shops in Va Beach, Va. Or they are taking advantage of me because i am long distance.
I always need same day delivery, they never disappoint! Flowers are always fresh, beautiful and last a long time. Highly recommend
